I was particularly disappointed by this book, what I was expecting was the reaction of a normal city after the dome appeared, sinking into terror over time.
But in no way is the city normal, the ruler is dishonest (that’s normal, but to lead the biggest drug factory of the united states must not mess up) but in addition it is a psychopath complement stamped his son Is a dangerous madman who would pass Hannibal for a nice scout and these mates are all of the same kind. Basically it’s so abused that it becomes ridiculous. In addition it is very Manichaeans with the nice ones on one side and the bad guys on the other, plus the rest of the population that serves no purpose.
I have not finished, I still have 5% but I struggled because the book is super long whereas in the end there is not much happening. Sometimes we know what will happen, and we wait for it to happen, but no, we have to stuff 50 pages so that it happens (riot in front of the supermarket)
That’s it, it had material to make an excellent book but it is finally very average.
